How does hypnosis actually cause physical changes?
when you use it for say losing weight when you
see yourself in the mirror have you really lost weight or are
you just seeing what you’ve hypnotize yourself
to see?
so are you saying hypnosis is just a motivator to do something or makes you think of different things to do?
I heard that hypnosis if you think about physical changes like cells increasing it can reignite those changes in the body?

who told u that?
Hypnosis does what it says on the tin– it tricks ya mind into thinking something else– it dont mean its true
It can help with giving up smoking etc but mostly its down to willpower

Hypnosis, in my opinion, is nothing more than one “believing” they are hypnotized. There is no actual change in your brainwaves etc. People simply use hypnosis as an excuse/crutch to lose weight, quit smoking etc.

Hypnosis, doesn’t make your eyes betray your body, When you are hypnotized to loose weight, they can say supress the appitite, or just make it so you eat smaller portions…
Who ever told you that was cracked lol

It dosen’t work the way you described. It is supposed to work by supressing your appetite and becoming more aware of the food that you put in your body. In my opinion, hypnosis is not effective. It didn’t help me stop smoking like it was supposed to. My mother in law went for weight loss about 6 months ago and hasn’t lost any weight.

IN THEORY, i say this because I think hypnosis is kinda a bunch a bolagna, hypnosis theoretically is speaking to the subconcious part of the brain, the part that controlls emotions, habbits, feelings, and lots of other basic controlls usually considered to have no controll over. So, if, in theory, you hypnotized someone that they were not going to put as much nutrients tword, say, hair growth, then, strictly in theory, they wouldn’t, it almost makes sense to me but how would the subconsious understand?!!? Any way that is the theory behind hypnosis. Also for example, weight loss, you could hypnotize yourself that you’re not hungry and don’t need food, and in theory, you would no longer feel hungry resulting in weight loss.

Hypnosis can cause very dramatic changes in the body. The most compelling demonstration I ever saw was a videotape of hypnosis-induced stigmata (the so-called “wounds of Christ”).
It’s not for everyone and you’ve seen proof of that in the previous answers. But for the motivated client, it can be very helpful.

Hypnosis is a means of clearing the mind and focusing on an idea or other thought so completely that it becomes embedded in your subconscious, and readily available when needed.
People who can focus well already can make best use of hypnosis, such as people who can become SO involved in reading a good book that they lose track of time and things going on around them. People who do not have a good amount of concentration will not get results.
A hypnotist will help you with progressive relaxation techniques, such as tightening and then relaxing your muscles, and then, when you have your mind clear, give the suggestion many times over.
If you ask to “see yourself thinner”, obviously, that is all that you may get out of it. If you ask to “at very meal: Eat healthy foods in healthy portions to get to a healthy weight”, you may get results. Or, “I am a non-smoker” is better than “I will try to quit smoking”.
I used hypnosis to quit smoking and it was a big help, because I “knew” that a cigarette would not help my withdrawal symptoms because “I am a nonsmoker”. It was just like having the flu for a while.
