Wayne has made self hypnosis easy and fun. In this book the exercises are clear and concise. This book is a great resource for the beginner as well as for practioners of hypnosis. Waynes’ step by step guide teaches the beginner the understanding of visualization techniques and the eyes open and closed techniques. I use this book frequently in my own practice. Wayne thank you. Compares unfavorably to other books in this genre. There is the inevitable commercial, in every chapter, to visit the author’s web site. There is considerable repetition. Almost leads the reader to believe there was a maximum amount of difficulty finding text to fill the (required?) pages. I don’t believe the book was proof read, there are so many errors in spelling, sentence structure etc. I purchased the book relying on past reviews and, frankly, I will not make that mistake again.
Review of paperback.

Wayne Perkins sets out to enable two things with his book; to show the student how to access hypnosis and the best strategies for utilizing its benefits. The book is reasonably light on theory (did I hear a sigh of relief?) but complete with practical tuition and personal examples. The author shares his experience with the reader but it doesn’t end there because technologies are employed to ensure the student has an interactive and up to the minute involvement in the learning process. Through a special site on the Internet the reader can get updates to the text, share comments with other enthusiasts and ask questions of the author himself. This is a very practical workbook which actively encourages a commitment from the reader and so is far less likely to end up languishing on the shelf!
